Howell T. Redwine, Jr., age 89, of Adamsville, AL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 27, 2012. He died from complications of a stroke.

He was born in Hampton, Georgia and moved to Alabama when he was six years old. He was a graduate of Ramsey High School and had a degree in drafting from Birmingham Southern College. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII and was retired from Birmingham Fab-Bolt after 47 years. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Howell T. Redwine, Sr. and Sara Fears Redwine, brothers David, Bill, Nathan, and sister, Annis Huneycutt.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Freil Redwine, son, Gary "Butch" Redwine (Diane), daughter, Donna R. Teter (Bob), grandchildren, Kevin Redwine (Lee), Ken Teter (Amber), Kurtis Teter (Joanna), and Keisha, five great grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Mary Redwine, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, June 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crestview Funeral Home in Adamsville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with burial following at Midway cemetery. Bro. Jerry Hooper officiating. Online condolences may be sent to

So sorry to hear of the loss of Mr Howell. He has battled a long, tiring fight and now is at rest with the Heavenly Father. Although you miss him......he is at peace in a far better place. Lean on the Lord, family and your wide circle of friends. Keep memories close as they will comfort you in quiet times. Please know I will keep your family in my prayers. Much love....
