Billy Cash, age 82, husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2019 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora and Lawrence Cash of Graysville, and a son, Jeffrey Scott Cash of Graysville.
He was a life long resident of Graysville, Alabama and was a graduate of Minor High School. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of Adamsville Church of Christ and retired from Greyhound Bus Lines after 35 years of service where he remained active in the Greyhound Bus Union. He was the best husband, father, and grandfather in the whole world, who was quick to make a friend and share in a good story.
He is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Betty; son, Bruce Alan Cash; daughter, Rhonda Cash Carter (Robert); five grandchildren, LaBeth Carter Crowder, Laura Carter Rogers (Daniel), Zachary Alan Cash, Leigh Ellen Morris (Chris), and Robert Wesley Carter, Jr. (Brandy); 8 great-grandchildren, Andrew Wesley Crowder, Aidan Thomas Crowder, Seager Morris, Finn Morris, Samuel Morris, Evelyn Morris, Baby Boy Rogers and Baby Girl Carter; two sisters, Linda Gray and Martha Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Mobley, Roland Crawford, Kenneth McCormick, Don Griffin, Danny Howard, Brett Howard, Christopher Tyree, and Garner Billingsley.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville, Alabama, with Brother Nathaniel Ferguson and Brother Ray Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
