Jewel Dean (Lawson) Beasley

February 27, 1930 ~ March 4, 2019 (age 89)

Mrs. Mary Jewel Dean Lawson Beasley, age 89, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Baptist Health Center-Princeton. She was a resident of Graysville, Alabama and is preceded in death by herhusband Claudy Guyton Beasley; parents John A and Lula Mae Lawson; 5 brothers, Ed, Guy, Garnzy, Grady and John Lawson; 2 sisters Shirley Ingram and Goldie Ingle; 2 sons-in-law, Lars Wikingstad and Ronald England.  She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Leslie) Lukela, Peggy England, Brenda Wikingstad and Laura (Steve) Rutledge; 4 grandchildren, Lani (Steve) Myers, Vicki (Shane) Jones, Keith(Wendy) Owens, Jeffrey (Wendy) England; 11 great-grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Ennis, Colby (Morgan)Ennis, Austin (Alyssa) Myers, Angel Myers, Taylor and Caleb Jones, William Aldridge, Cody and Adam Steele, Aaron and Ethan England;  6 great great-grandchildren, Cade, Madi, Brynnlee, Waylen and MasonEnnis and Ashlyn Dunlap, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Jewel retired from Walker Baptist Hospital after eleven years of service. She loved working at the hospital and never met a stranger. After retiring, she was a caregiver for her husband who suffered with a heart condition and Alzheimer’s Disease until his passing. Jewel was a great example of Christianity and loved God with all her heart. Some of her favorite things to do were traveling, going to yard sales, having yard sales, visiting her children and grandchildren, cooking and visiting the Senior Citizen’s Center. She will be missed so very much by all her family and friends, but now she will be happy, free of pain and suffering and walk hand in hand with her Heavenly Father on the streets of gold in Heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Crestview Memorial Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper, Alabama.
