Jimmy Arnold James, age 73 of Graysville, AL went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia James; his parents, Wilma Earnestine and Walker Theodore James; siblings, Buddy, Norman, Patty, Etheleen, and Melvy.
He is survived by his wife of thirty two years, Katherine Harding James; children, Kenneth (Kathey), John (Laura), Jeff (Leigh), and Bubba James (Laura); grandchildren, Kara (Jerrid), Kyle (Tabbi), Lil’ Eddie (Olivia), Cheyenne (James), Audrey (Addison), Caleb, Taylor, Korbin, and Dylan; great-granddaughters, Madison, Lexi, Scarlett, Saylor, Summer, Lillian, and Maeve; siblings, Myrtice (Darryl), Darlene (Tony), Wilma, Doris (Gary), Tency (Frances), Brenda (Dewayne), and John Barney; sister-in-law, Lynne Melton (Toni), brothers-in-law, Howard, Mike (Mary), Larry Harding, and Mac (Kerrie) Crocker; numerous nieces, nephews, extended families and many friends.
Mr. James was a native of Pensacola, Florida where he lived his early life and moved to Birmingham in 1986. He loved fishing and hunting, spending time with his family (children and grandchildren), and he was a member of the former Little House of Prayer in Gardendale, AL.
Services will be Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville, AL, with Katherine James and Bubba James officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Turning Point United Methodist Church, 337 Tabernacle Road, Locust Fork, Alabama 35097.
