Age 83, of Adamsville, AL. MaryAnn was raised on a farm in Minnesota. She enjoyed nature, caring for animals, and reading in her spare time. She fell in love with and married Douglas Garberson in 1955.
Together they had 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls. The family moved to Birmingham, AL in 1965.
She retired from American Carbon Industries. Afterward she became a regular member of the Forestdale McDonald’s Breakfast Club where she enjoyed the friendship of the other long-time members. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, crossword puzzles and finding treasures at local thrift stores.
Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Douglas H Garberson, her parents Lurene and Arnold Cox, brother Leo Cox, sons Scott and Brian Garberson.
Survived by son Michael Garberson of Adamsville, Daughters Nikki Edmondson and Jody Little (Tracey) of Adamsville, Lori Linard of Dora, her sisters Jeri (Louie) Manderfield and Kathy Henning and sister-in-law Jeanne Cox all residing in Minnesota. Also 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Services will be on Sunday, October 7th at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home, 5250 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adamsville, AL 35005. Visitation is from Noon to 2 PM with service to follow. Burial at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
