Raymond "Shawn" Beasley of Gardendale, AL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at the age of 47. He was born on February 29, 1972 to Wanda Beasley and Alvin Smith. Shawn was loved deeply by his parents, Ted and Wanda Beasley. Shawn was a kind, gentle soul who never met a stranger. He was a jokester who loved to make people laugh. He could fix anything and loved taking things apart and putting them back together. He was a longtime employee of Ace Industries and was loved by everyone at the plants he serviced. He will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.
Shawn met his soul mate, Kimberly (Abel) when they were 17 years old. They shared a passion for traveling, camping, and all things Disney. Shawn loved Auburn football and Dale Earnhardt. He was his daughter, Cori's, biggest fan. He supported her, encouraged her, and loved her larger than life. Shawn is preceded in death by Alvin Smith, his brother Jeffrey Smith and his grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife Kim; daughter Cori, and Cori’s boyfriend Collin Glasscock; parents Ted and Wanda Beasley; brothers, Shane (Debbie) Beasley, and Ted “Bubba” (Stephanie) Beasley; mother-in-law, Faye Abel; brother-in-law, Bobby (Katie) Abel, and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 12 noon at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville, Alabama, with Brother Mike Woodham officiating. Burial will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
