Boyce Edward Bria entered his eternal heavenly home on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the age of 76. "Bubba" was born on November 3, 1943. He is survived by his son, Mark Bria (Stephanie); granddaughter, Morgan; grandsons, Will and Dylan; sons, Jason Bria, Joshua Gulino, Todd and Trevor Askew; two sisters, Denise Maddox (Pat), and Mary Burnley (Red); nephews, Michael and Shane Burnley; and his partner, Pam Banter.
Bubba was preceded in death by his wife, Shawana; parents, Johnnie and Evelyn Bria; and one son, John. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for more than 35 years as a talented, specialty machinist at Hayes International, PEMCO Aeroplex and Alabama Aviation. When he wasn't turning laps of 170 mph at Talladega, Bubba was an outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time on the water crappie fishing, as well as in the woods hunting. He was an exceptional gardener. In addition to those hobbies he was a passionate fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Upon retirement, he continued those hobbies, as well as always having a garden.
Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 334 Main Street, Gardendale, Alabama 35071, on May 29, 2020. Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M., with Mass beginning at 12:00 P.M. Graveside Service will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville, AL.
