Paul “Butch” Edward Coffee, age 76 went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. He was a resident at Ahava Healthcare of Alabaster, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert James Coffee and Geneva Mae Lowery Coffee; brothers, James Troy, Kenneth Earl, Grady Ronald, Charles W., Eugene J., and Johnny L. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
He was a native of Alabama where he lived most of his life in Adamsville. He retired from Shop-A-Snak after 30 years. He was known throughout the Forestdale community as, “The Mayor of Forestdale.” He was also known as, “Red Fox” on the CB radio. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, Charlotte and Cecil and a host of friends at Jacks Restaurant of Graysville, where they frequently met for coffee. He enjoyed talking on his CB radio, fishing, and working on old lawn mower engines. He was a very loyal Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan. He loved his family, friends, and the Lord.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 16, 2019 from 9AM-10AM at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville. A graveside service will follow at 12PM at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the many nurses and doctors at Shelby Baptist Medical Center, Dr. Dilip Shah, the employees at Ahava Healthcare that made his later years enjoyable, and his very best friends, Charlotte and Cecil. Thank you for all the love and care given to Butch throughout the years.
