Jack Marvin Brasfield, age 80, of Graysville, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2018. He was preceded in death three years ago by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sandra, and he missed her very much. He was a loving father and grandfather to his family, and a caring and cheerful friend to many others. He always had a smile on his face and an optimistic attitude toward life.
Jack is survived by daughters Sherry Loper (Jeff) and Valerie Cartee (Joe), granddaughters Emily and Kristen Cartee, sister Bobbie Jean Parnell (Elmer), and many other family members and friends.
He was a lifelong resident of Graysville except for his four years in the Air Force. He served on the Graysville City Council for 32 years and was very proud of his hometown. He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church in Graysville and had formerly been a member of First Baptist Church of Graysville for many years. He was a member of Cunningham Masonic Lodge since 1964.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00pm at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home in Adamsville. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until time of service. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
